Stewardship is an integral part of everything we do — because we recognize that every resource entrusted to us can transform real children’s lives. As part of our stewardship, we optimize resources and distribute them where they are needed most. We carefully monitor and review programs and costs, use donations and grants for their intended purposes, and look for ways to leverage funds for maximum impact.
In addition, we continually strive to keep our overhead rate low. 89 percent of our total revenue goes to programs that benefit children, families, and communities in need. Our effectiveness has earned the trust and support of donors, thousands of churches, and hundreds of corporations, institutions, and government agencies around the globe.

Generally, funds are transferred by wire within the month. Funds transferred in any given month reflect the dictates of our annual budget rather than actual monies received during that month. This ensures consistent support for projects, even during times of slower giving. Brothers Keepers International Outreach Ministries regional offices monitor the cash flow, as well as currency fluctuations that can affect Brothers Keepers International Outreach Ministries’s work, to make sure funds arrive as needed.
Major disasters may require an immediate response; Brothers Keepers International Outreach Ministries transfers funds to the field more frequently if necessary.

Independent agencies report that, statistically speaking, using a credit card on the web through SSL is far safer than submitting your credit card to a clerk in the grocery store, or over an open telephone line. In fact, they report that there are no recorded instances of someone “breaking” SSL encryption and using credit card information stored therein for fraudulent purposes.

Poverty in the United States is fueled by many causes. Educational, social, political, and emotional challenges all contribute to the condition of need in the world’s wealthiest nation. The symptoms of poverty include hunger, homelessness, unemployment, and despair. Poverty often spans several generations in families and communities, creating a sense of hopelessness that is difficult to overcome.

Brothers Keepers International Outreach is committed to the well-being of children and youth living in poverty in the United States. Our goal is to strengthen the fabric of a community through youth empowerment initiatives and by equipping individuals and local partners with the knowledge and resources needed to help children thrive.
We provide lasting solutions to poverty, strengthening our nation’s communities in greatest need by, Empowering children and youth to serve as leaders and advocates for change in their communities while influencing others to do the same. Equipping a community’s child-focused organizations to strengthen and expand their services to local children and families in need through training, coaching, network-building, and more.

We promise to use your donation in the most effective way possible. Donations will be used to provide assistance where it is needed most within that category or to address a similar need. With the larger items, such as wells, clinics and schools, and Hospitals, donations are processed in order to provide as many wells, clinics, and schools as possible.

Brothers Keepers International Ministries, like many other charitable agencies, has and can be the subject of fraudulent attempts to obtain bank details of partners, supporters, and unconnected parties, so please beware.
The common theme is an email communication purporting to come from Brothers Keepers International Outreach Ministries  informing the recipient that he/she has been awarded a substantial cash grant. The recipient is invited to register details with the sender in order to collect the cash sum.

Brothers Keepers International Outreach Ministries does not make cash awards of this nature, and this communication is bogus. If you receive such an email, please do not register your details with the sender under any circumstances. Instead, either delete the email or forward it in its entirety (including header information) to admin@BrothersKeepers.net
We will do all we can to notify the appropriate authorities and follow up to try to identify the perpetrators, but unfortunately, we cannot prevent such communications from being circulated.
